Building Better Boards is a two-part course that provides a clear introduction to board governance and function in Montana local government. It covers the roles and responsibilities of local government boards, commissions, special districts, and committees.

Designed for county and municipal elected officials and administrative professionals, the course provides the foundation participants need to serve effectively and carry out their statutory responsibilities in Part 1. Part 2 offers a comprehensive introduction to Parliamentary Procedure and effective meeting facilitation.

A resource library also supports the courses with short videos, demonstrations, handouts, and document templates. These materials help participants apply what they learn to real-world situations and support the effective work of their boards.
